Reservations
Reservations may be made by
telephone,
email or online. Your reservation is not finalized
until you have received confirmation from Curious
Cat Sitting by telephone or email. Please book as far ahead as
possible to ensure we can provide service on the
dates requested, especially for nationally
recognized holidays.
Consultation
I
provide free consultation visits for new clients, at
which time:

I will
learn your pet and home care routine

We
will go over all necessary paperwork
-
You
can
make sure you feel comfortable
with me caring for your pets

I will
collect your home key
-
Payment for your reservation is due
Service Agreement
Please be prepared at the
consultation to provide all necessary information
including:

Your
contact information while away
-
Your
flight itinerary (if applicable)
-
Name
and phone number for at least one local emergency contact
-
Names
of people with permitted access to your home
-
Veterinarian's name, address and phone number
-
Gate/Alarm
code (if applicable)
-
Landlord/HOA phone number (if applicable)
-
Housekeeper/Gardener/Handyman names and phone
numbers (if applicable)
Keys
Curious Cat Sitting
can retain a copy of your household keys for future
service periods. Your key will be stored in a
secure, non-disclosed location at all times using an
anonymous key code. Having your keys available
simplifies future service and avoids additional key drop
off/pick up fees.
In the interest of
your home security, I will not pick up or leave keys
hidden somewhere near the home, and will not lock the
keys in the house on my last visit.
Our insurance policy
covers lost keys; if we lose your keys we will pay to
have your house re-keyed.
How to Prepare -
Please leave all necessary supplies to care for your pet
in a visible area. This includes:

Food, treats

Food and water dishes

Spoon for canned food

Paper towels/rags/towels

Litter

Litter pan liners

Plastic bags for litter disposal

- Remember to stock up on enough pet food and kitty litter to last
the duration of your trip as well as more in the event you
are delayed in returning to avoid having to pay a
trip fee in the event that we have to run to the store to
replenish your supplies if you run out.
- Please
inform your veterinarian that Curious Cat Sitting will
be caring for your pets in your absence. If possible,
make arrangements to have your veterinarian reimbursed
for any service necessary during your absence by leaving
a credit card on file.
- Leave recently worn t-shirts in
places where your pet will feel comfort from your scent.
- Set your thermostat at a comfortable temperature for
your pets.

If the weather is expected to be warm
during your absence consider brushing your pets
before you leave for their comfort.
- Please
trim your cats' nails to prevent scratches to your
sitter during playtime!
- If you have rugs or carpet that require special
cleaning solutions, please be sure to leave the proper
cleaner along with cleaning instructions in case of a
pet accident.
- If you have a security alarm system, please notify the
company that a pet sitter will be coming to your home
and give them my name and phone number.
- If your pets are used to having a TV or radio on while
you are home, it may calm them to have it left on while
you are away as well (this may also serve as a crime
deterrent).
- Unplug all unnecessary appliances in order to prevent
damage from electrical storms or pet injuries.
- Please inform your neighbors of your absence and that
you are using my services.
Your Return Home
Please call or email us
promptly on your return home and leave a message in
order to avoid another pet sitting charge.
Unless we hear from you we will continue pet sitting to
ensure your pets are cared for.

our services. Please take a moment to fill out

Future Visits
Please
leave a note with specific instructions related to
the current visit. While we have the
instructions in our files from the original
consultation, things may have changed slightly from the
previous visit. Please notify us if there
are alarm code or key changes before you leave.
Make sure we have up-to-date emergency contact info
in the event we are unable to get into your home or
there are questions or issues that arise while you
are away.
