RESERVATIONS

 

All reservations must be made by telephone at 619-442-9962.  Please book as far ahead as possible to ensure I can provide service on the dates requested, especially for nationally recognized holidays.

 

BEFORE YOU LEAVE

 

Please leave a note with specific instructions related to the current visit.  While I have the instructions in my files from the original consultation, things may have changed slightly from the previous visit.  Please notify me if there are alarm code or key changes before you leave.  Make sure I have up-to-date emergency contact info in the event I am unable to get into your home or there are questions or issues that arise while you are away.  Please leave medications, special treats and cat litter disposal bags where I can easily see them.

 

PAYMENT

 

First time clients:  A minimum deposit of 50% of the total cost of pet sit is due at the time of initial consultation.  The remaining 50% is to be paid at time of first visit.  Please leave a check, made out to Curious Cat Sitting, in a place where I will find it such as the kitchen counter.  For holiday pet sits, full payment is due at time of consultation.

 

Existing clients:  Please leave full payment in a conspicuous place to be collected at first pet visit.  If you prefer to pay in advance, you may mail a check to my office (please call or email for address).  Reservations for holidays or for any period of time over two weeks must be paid in full at time of booking.

 

Returned check:  A handling fee of $50 or 1/2 the total amount of the check (whichever is greater) will be added to all returned checks.

 

CANCELLATIONS

 

If pet owner plans to shorten their trip they must give Curious Cat Sitting a minimum of 12 hours notice in order to receive a refund.  If pet owner cancels their trip entirely a $20.00 fee will apply for all notification less than 21 days prior to scheduled sits.

 

HOLIDAY/OVERNIGHTS CANCELLATIONS

 

Holiday and overnight cancellations made at least 21 days prior to first visit are 50% refundable for entire schedule.  Holiday or overnight visits canceled 20 days or less before scheduled sits are to begin are non-refundable.

 

URGENT VETERINARY CARE

 

Please inform your veterinarian that Curious Cat Sitting will be caring for your pets in your absence.  If possible, make arrangements to have your veterinarian reimbursed for any service necessary during your absence by leaving a credit card on file. 

If a medical emergency arises for your pet, Curious Cat Sitting will make every effort to contact you but if time is of the essence, will seek medical services at the closest veterinary hospital.

 

ADDITIONAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS

 

Please be sure to stock up on all necessary items for the pet sit in case you are delayed in returning from your trip.  If your supplies run out and I need to make a trip to the store to replenish items (such as pet food, kitty litter, etc.) you will be charged a trip fee of $20 per half hour.  

 

If you plan to lengthen your trip please call Curious Cat Sitting a minimum of 12 hours prior to my last pet sit in order to be put back on my schedule.  Please pay all additional fees incurred promptly upon your return.

 

Please call Curious Cat sitting PROMPTLY on your return home and leave a message in order to avoid another pet sitting charge.

 

Please notify Curious Cat Sitting if anyone else has keys or access to your property during the time of scheduled pet sits.  Curious Cat Sitting cannot be held liable for damage done to home and pets by others with such access.  In addition, Curious Cat Sitting is not liable for damage done by pet to either the interior or exterior of home when pet sitter is not there.

 

Pet owner is responsible for any injury caused to pet sitter or the general public by the owner's pets or condition of owner's premises.

 

In the event of inclement weather or natural disaster Curious Cat Sitting will use their best judgment in caring for your pets and home but cannot be held responsible for any damage to home or injury to pet arising from such.

 

If a problem arises such as a pipe rupture, flooding, earthquake, fire, break in, etc., I will make every effort to contact you and follow your instructions.  If you cannot be reached or immediate action is necessary for the health, safety and welfare of your pets, Curious Cat Sitting will arrange for necessary repairs to be done.  Upon your return please reimburse Curious Cat Sitting promptly for all expenses incurred for repair of property.

 

In the unlikely event of illness or personal emergency to myself, I will arrange for another qualified person to fulfill responsibilities as set forth in our service agreement.  You will be notified in such a case.
