Why should I use a professional pet sitter?

In-home pet sitting is viewed by many vets and pet owners as the best care choice when owners are away.  Pets love routines and dislike change.  Boarding your pets in a kennel can be traumatic.  Left in an unfamiliar place without you, your pets could develop behavioral problems, eating disorders, illness or fleas.  Hiring a pet sitter allows your pets' routine to continue in your absence.  Your pets will feel more comfortable staying in their own familiar and secure environment with familiar sights, sounds and smells.  They receive the loving, personal attention they’re used to getting from you.

For more information, please see "Choosing a Pet Sitter" from the Humane Society and CNN's article on pet sitting.

Do you only pet sit for cats?

Although felines make up the vast majority of my pet clients, I also care for other animals as well including dogs, fish, birds and other small animals.  If you have a type of pet that I do not have experience with, I am more than happy to learn your pet care routine.

Is Curious Cat Sitting a "green" business?

Absolutely!  Whenever possible, my business practices are conducted in an environmentally-conscious manner.  Business cards and other paperwork are printed on recycled paper, pet "messes" are cleaned up with non-toxic cleaners and recycled paper towels, pet food cans are always recycled and a hybrid vehicle is used for transport.

Can you make referrals to other pet sitters when you are booked?

Yes, I'd be happy to.
